The Graham Group, Inc. is a full-service real estate firm specializing in the development of medical office buildings. Seeberger Architecture was selected to provide architectural services, starting with design, contract documents and construction contract administration for the Christus St. Catherine Medical Plaza build-out. Site Planning services included several schemes for new building locations within the medical complex. Options included the feasibility of relocating or re-aligning the platted, but not constructed Bishop Dubois drive and two future professional medical building and numerous medical office build-outs.

Phase II was the design and construction of Christus St. Catherine’s second medical professional building. Medical Plaza II consists of four stories, featuring a design of brick veneer and blue tinted double-glazed high efficiency glazing that compliments the existing buildings on the hospital campus. The ground floor features an Outpatient Surgery Center. The second, third and fourth floors accommodate approximately 25 to 30 physicians. Floor plate layouts have been designed to allow maximum efficiency for space planning and interior build-out of the medical suites. The new building’s proximity to the existing professional building and the Hospital required the Architects to carefully consider a façade that complimented the existing building materials, details and proportions.

Medical Offices & Emergency Room Remodel

Hospital & Office Medical Building

Phase I included the renovation of the existing emergency room and a group of doctor’s offices for Medical Plaza Building I. Seeberger Architecture met with Christus St. Catherine CFO, Nursing, E.R. Director, Head Physician and Director of Facilities Planning to design a solution to help accommodate the ever increasing patient load demand on the Emergency Room. With a relatively small budget and virtually no space to expand into, the new design greatly enhanced patient follow from Check-in and Triage to Treatment Rooms. The design included an expanded Registration Desk layout that allows more patient privacy. Seeberger’s team coordinated the Plan Review Self Certification and Final Inspection with the Texas Department of Health. Space Planning, Construction Drawings and Contract Administration services were provided for two medical suites. We met with two different doctor groups, Surgical Specialists and a Family Practice to simultaneously build-out the remaining shell space on the 2nd story St. Catherine’s Professional Building. This resulted in greater cost efficiency by combing the spaces into one construction bid.
