Chris Shaw has worked at Seeberger Architecture since graduating from the University of Houston with a Masters of Architecture in 1999.
At Seeberger Architecture, he has managed a broad range of projects. He performs due diligence on all projects, contacting local jurisdictions to determine local regulations and code interpretations. He has responsibility for navigating projects through the permit approval process.
Chris also researches products, equipment, materials, and systems, and writes specifications for a variety of projects. Each project has unique requirements and circumstances; sometimes the tried and true methods and materials serve best, in other cases it’s better that creative solutions be explored. He is experienced at research to find the right products for the job.
He is the Energy Code expert and is familiar with COMCheck and Energy Gauge software. He ensures project compliance with the International Energy Conservation Code and the ASHRAE 90.1 energy efficiency standard.
Seeberger Architecture is committed to the cause of sustainability in our built environment. Chris personally is an avid proponent of green architecture and became a LEED A.P. in 2007. Since that time he has been a member of the U.S.G.B.C. – Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Chris coordinates Seeberger Architecture’s participation in the certification process on those projects that pursue LEED certification.
